NARAYAN SAHOO | Artist
Narayan is an aspiring painter whose work delves into the complexities of socio-political issues and spiritual philosophy. Working primarily in tempera and acrylic, he has developed a distinctive style that merges vibrant color, fine details, and a deeply thoughtful approach to composition. Through his art, Narayan addresses pressing societal questions and timeless spiritual ideas, often blending realism with symbolism to communicate layered narratives. His pieces provoke introspection, encouraging viewers to consider perspectives outside of their own and to reflect on humanity's shared struggles and aspirations.
Narayan's journey into art began with an interest in history and philosophy, which naturally evolved into a desire to convey these themes visually. His paintings often juxtaposed historical and contemporary elements, creating a dialogue between the past and present and inviting audiences to engage with cultural and political topics in a visual, emotive way. Spirituality also plays a significant role in his works, with recurring themes of introspection, enlightenment, and human connection.
Currently Narayan has exhibited his work in several Art galleries in india. He sees art as both a personal journey and a form of activism, aspiring to make an impact by creating works that resonate emotionally and intellectually. Narayan is committed to refining his Art practices, exploring new themes, and using his art as a platform for change and reflection, hoping to inspire deeper understanding and dialogue within society.
Narayan's expressionistic composition is raw & pure. Bold brushstroke colors, forms, lines, elements & abstract spaces create a powerful emotional response.
